I built a neck from aluminum angle that has a parallel-line joint, and then I used a Fender guitar nut to mount a set of laminate bindings on it. The result is pretty cool, but it's a little unstable, so it's not really good for strumming. I'd like to know if there's some way to make the neck jacket more stable? Are there any other ideas for how I could improve my design? A: Not so much a way to make it more stable but to make it less likely to start it moving. Simply by building a custom neck and binding, that is, a neck with a wide portion on the neck and a narrow section on the top of the guitar body where you install the fretboard and bridge.
